Our Story

Newman Connection is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a national support structure and unified brand to Catholic campus ministry. We assist these campus ministries in their growth by:

• Providing a national outreach program, connecting students from all over the country to campus ministry.

• Establishing a national prayer hour specifically for the benefit of campus ministry.

• Offering resources and tools to campus ministers to utilize in their programming.

COVID Campaign

College students all across our country have had their lives totally distrupted by the Corona virus. We share their pain. Today we expand our ministry to invite our larger community to unite with us on a journey of spiritual rebirth. Let's unite with students everywhere as we share the fire of our faith, together, inspiring those all over the world to join us.

Meet Matt

What started as a simple invitation to a campus ministry in Illinois, quickly turned into the creation of a national ministry program. Inspired by the work at St. John's Catholic Newman Center at the University of Illinois, Matt and his father, Bill, decided they wanted to help campus ministry in a big way. In 2009 they started a non-profit called Newman Connection which has connected almost 400,000 high school students to the campus ministry at their chosen college to date. In 2009 they also started a development company focused on bringing faith based student housing to campuses, similar to the Illinois model.  To date, that company has 5 total properties in 3 states and has housed over 5,000 students. Matt is the President of Newman Connection and handles the vision and day to day operations. He is also the President of Newman Student Housing Fund and handles vision and sales. Matt lives in Dallas, TX, and is engaged to be married. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
